On the 12th of July, at 4PM, in the Partisan square, in Užice, the Women’s Center Užice organized an initiative with the message „Family, but not at the cost of life“.
The initiative was organized as it had been a week since the murder of Olga Lovrić in front of the Center for Social Affairs, in Belgrade.
The aim of the gathering was to draw public attention to the problem of femicide and honoring Olga and all victims of domestic violence in 2017. Unfortunately, at the time of the gathering, another murder of a woman and a child occurred as well as the wounding of workers of the Centers for Social Affairs. Taken aback by this terrible event, today at the Organization we are sad and angry and wondering how we could proceed.
